Rasam Mix

Rasam is a South Indian soup made from tamarind pulp and flavoured with a variety of spices. The literal meaning of Rasam is ‘extract’ or ‘essence’ . It is called Rasam in T amil and Malayalam, Thili Saaru in Kannada and Pulusu in Telugu. The difference in these lies mostly in the consistency and flavours used.

Directions for use :

Dilute this Tasty Kitchen Rasam Mix to enough quantity of water (1 tsp. mix in 1 glass of water) & bring to boil on medium flame while stirring occasionally.

Tasty Tip:

  • You can strain this Rasam and serve in small tumblers with a lemon wedge, as an appetizer .
  • Or just garnish with fresh coriander leaves and have as hot soup.
